“To create a superior Martial Arts Competition Team, whereby the true aspirations of “Leading by example”, applying a “Black Belt attitude” and incorporating the ideals of respect, knowledge and strength are combined with diligent training, focused goals and consistently higher expectations.  To teach the life values of winning with modesty and losing with dignity in which the reputation of the Team is increased as these unique qualities are demonstrated in various Tournaments.  We pledge to do our best, and then do better, to incorporate our training and discipline beyond the Competition arena but into our daily lives to be important and positive members of our community”.

BBFLS COMPETITION TEAM
Black Belt For Life Studios Competition Team consists of students that are invited to become members based on their commitment to the training, skill in their Martial Arts, and positive character.  The team is provided with additional classes for intensive training in weapons, forms (Traditional and extreme "XMA"), and sparring.  Members range from beginners to Black Belt ages 7 to adult.  We compete in KICK USA and NASKA sanctioned events.  BBFLS has won the "Top 10 Schools in Florida" award the past three years by the KICK USA circuit.  We have produced several Regional, State, and National champions under KICK USA.  In addition, many of our competitors have placed in the top 3 at the U.S open, Battle OF Atlanta, Gator Nationlas, Pan American Championships and other "NASKA" sanctioned events. 

We believe competitions enhances a person's ability to handle stressful situations, deal with pressure and improve their Martial Arts skills.  Our goal in competition, is to  accept both victory and defeat with grace, honor, and respect for themselves, their teammates, and their opponents.
